Support through an Enforceable Undertaking
OHS legislation in most Australian states allows for Enforceable Undertakings as remedies for certain types of legislative breaches.
Each regulator requires that EUs meet three requirements:
- Benefit to the workplace
- Benefit to the industry
- Benefit to the community.
As a component of an EU, the OHS Body of Knowledge:
- Benefits the workplace, industry and the community;
- Has both national and international impact
- Adds a legacy aspect to any EU through its ongoing currency and enduring impact.
The WHS regulators in Victoria, South Australia, New South Wales and Queensland have stated their support for the inclusion of the OHS Body of Knowledge in EUs.
