Dr Kelly Johnstone

Senior Lecturer Occupational Health and Safety Science Programs, The University of Queensland

Dr Kelly Johnstone is currently employed as a Senior Lecturer with The University of Queensland.

She has developed a broad range of skills and technical knowledge in the area of OHS over the past 20 years through her study, work as an academic and her current and past employment as a Senior OHS Consultant.

Kelly has experience in sectors including Ports, Coal Seam Gas, Construction, Health, Education, Energy Generation, Oil Refining, Transport, Hospitality, and Manufacturing.

She has a Bachelor of Applied Science (OHS), Bachelor of Health Science (Honors), Master of Science (OHP) and a Doctor of Philosophy. Kelly’s main research interests are in the area of occupational hygiene.

She has been a member of the SIA since 1999 and is currently a Fellow and Certified Charted Generalist OHS Professional.
